Got a spare table from inside the caravan? Attach a strip of connectors to the outside of the caravan and 'hey presto' you have the option of putting it up easily in the awning, without extra weight added. |

For weekends and short breaks, buy a quick erecting porch awning. We bought one for £100 and it has been absolutely invaluable. It provides a storage area, rain or shine and takes 5 minutes to erect. It is probably one of the best value items we have bought for the caravan.

I bought a cheap plastic 3 tier shelf unit and secured it with strong string to the porch awning pole. The top shelf houses my kettle and two electric pots and the underneath shelves are stocked with salt, pepper, gravy granules, food tins etc. This keeps all steam out the caravan and gives more room inside. |

For extra 'cool' storage for items that do not need refrigeration such as fruit / veg and drinks, use an under-bed storage box with lid and wheels and slide under the van. |
